Some may think that the sex education in western and modernized countries like the United States may have good sex education system and people are freely to discuss sex issue. In fact, on sexuality issue the United States are not open-minded as we think of. The sex education even declining in the recent decade. There are only 22 states have compulsory sex education while 37 states require sex education be talked in an abstinent way. The abstinence-only programs show little evidence of sustained (long-term) impact on attitudes and intentions.

3. In the survey conducted in 2006 to 2010, 70 percent of girls and 61 percent of boys said they had received formal instruction about birth control, which dropped to 60 percent and 55 percent, respectively, in the 2011 to 2013 surveys (Kathryn Doyle, 2016).
